Travel & Transport:

– The farm is situated on the outskirts of a small village and strikes the perfect balance of being in the depths of the Cornish countryside whilst being easy to reach by excellent rail and road connections.

– There is space for mini-buses to park at the farm. Space for larger coaches to park is approximately 200m from accommodation and we can provide luggage transfer.

– Direct train line from London Paddington to Plymouth (takes approximately 3 hours 30 minutes). Journey from Plymouth is approximately a 20 – 30 minute drive.

– Bristol Airport is approximately 2 hours drive away, Exeter Airport is approximately 1 hour drive away.

Sustainability

Here at Lower Marsh Farm we strive to do our best to reduce our negative impact on the environment in a number of ways including managing the land in a way to conserve its beauty. The village of Landulph is situated within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A Salt Marsh Nature Reserve adjacent to the farm house was created in the early 1800s when the sea wall was constructed and is now a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), meaning an area identified by the Nature Conservancy Council as having flora, fauna or geological features of special interest. This includes kingfishers, herons, buzzards, egrets, pheasants, nesting owls and bats, and is grazed by our beautiful Highland Cattle. Salt Marshes are important and rare habitats. This type of land is now becoming known as re-wilded land which adsorbs and holds significantly more carbon than arable land.

Comfortable accommodation for up to 21 guests in rooms that can mostly be configured with either double (king sized) or twin rooms. Luxury Egyptian Cotton bed linen, fluffy cotton towels and complementary toiletries included.
Separate tour leader accommodation in large bedroom which can sleep up to 3 people with en-suite bathroom.
Full catering options in spacious group dining room, sourcing many ingredients from our regeneratively managed produce gardens to offer seasonal, tasty, filling menus that both minimise food miles and reduce our intake of man-made pesticides / fertilisers.
Light airy games / chill-out room (9m x 5.5m) with multiple configuration options for table tennis, quiet reading / jigsaw / board games room, cinema night (projector and sound system facilities) or well-being sessions (e.g. yoga / Pilates)
Hot tubs, tennis court, private river frontage with wild swimming opportunities, extensive grounds for exploring including woodland and private Nature Reserve.
Experiences can be organised on site such as archery, watercolour & line drawing workshop, wine tasting evening, wild food foraging, stand-up paddle boarding lesson.

We have limited accessible accommodation options. Orchard Cottage offers step-free access and is all on the ground floor.
